Gheorghe Muresan, standing at an astounding 7 feet 7 inches (231 cm) tall, holds the distinction of being the tallest player in NBA history. Born in Romania in 1971, Muresan's remarkable height propelled him to professional basketball stardom. He entered the NBA in 1993, playing for the Washington Bullets (later renamed the Washington Wizards) and the New Jersey Nets.


Muresan's towering presence on the court was undeniable. His incredible size allowed him to be a dominant force around the basket, blocking shots and scoring with ease. In the 1995-1996 season, he achieved his greatest individual success, earning the NBA's Most Improved Player Award and leading the league in field goal percentage.
